Survivor: Retribution - Second Chance is the thirty-first season of the Survivor ORG Wiki's Online Reality Game (ORG), Survivor: Wikia!

The first season to feature a cast not selected by the hosts, Retribution used a ballot to vote on by the community for which 22 former players they wanted to see have a second chance at the game. The beginning season was criticized due to its predictable early eliminations, as well as pregame alliances dominating the start. However, was well received overall from the merge on because of it's shocking idol plays, intense gameplay, likable characters, multiple dynamic blindsides and revotes, and the redemptive arc for some of the players and the winner.

Twists

• Second Chances: For the first time in ORG history, the viewers will be able to decide the cast through a Second Chance voting ballot.
• Day 1 Tribal: On Day 1, the contestants played in a challenge, in which they were only told that it would help determine tribes. However, after the deadline had passed, it was revealed four people secretely won immunity, and the entire cast of 22 would go to tribal council anarchy-style together, and to make it worse, they had to vote two people off at the same time. Afterwards, the contestants were separated into tribes.
• Secret Mutiny: Throughout the course of the first few days in the game, the contestants were asked many questions regarding how much they liked their tribe. On Day 9, those who had responded as to being unpleasant with their current situation were forcefully mutinied from their tribes, into the other tribe.
• Double Tribal: Every single tribe member competed for immunity and reward, having been told it would influence a twist later on. The highest scorer would be exiled, and the 2nd highest scorer would gain an idol clue, immunity and be the captain of the first tribe, while the 3rd highest scorer would follow suit, despite they were captain of the second tribe.
• Tribe Switch: Scores from a challenge played on day 14 were used to determine which tribe member got in each new tribe. The highest scorer was exiled and given the choice to join either tribe after tribal was over, despite this never came into fulfillment as the merge came right afterwards.
• Unmerge: After being together for two rounds in the merge, at the Final 11, the contestants were split up randomly, unmerging into two different tribes for a few rounds. They soon re-merged at the Final 9.
• Day 38 Extra Tribal: Despite being told and assuming the season was of a final 3, the contestants were surprise to find out the Final Immunity Challenge wasn't Trials, and it would be instead Fallen Comrades, making the season a final 2.

Changes

Public Voting

The 40 candidates on the voting ballot, all one-time players and no winners, were released just hours after Survivor: Svalbard's merge.

Contestants were nominated from 17 out of the total 29 seasons, all the way from season 4 - Survivor: Egypt, to the most recent finished season, season 29 - Survivor: Azerbaijan.

As of December 28th 2015 - January 16th 2016, voting was open and then closed.
