Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains is the eighteenth season of Survivor: Wikia.

One of most controversial seasons of the ORG, Heroes vs. Villains was strongly condemned by the ORG audiences due to the casting, twists - which were deemed unfair by the ORG community - and frequent disputes between hosts and players, ultimately leading to a quit. Despite that, Heroes vs. Villains still had successful idols plays and engrossing storylines, bringing one of most interesting and compelling underdog stories in the history of the ORG.

Twists

• Heroes vs. Villains: Eleven of the most heroic castaways battle against eleven of the most villainous castaways for the title of Sole Survivor.
• Hidden Immunity Idol: One Hidden Immunity Idol will be hidden for each tribe. The method of obtaining the idol is to figure out a phrase with clue they may obtain from Exile Island. Due to One World in play, contestants are not allowed to pass idols to people on opposing teams.
• Longer Game: Due to the number of castaways competing, the game will last 42 days, three days longer than the previous seasons.
• Exile Island - After each reward or combined challenge, one person from each tribe is exiled. At exile, the contestants may choose idle comfort (a small advantage in the next challenge) or idol protection (a clue to the Hidden Immunity Idol).
• One World - To represent the fact that Yin and Yang are opposite, but need each other, the tribes will share one camp for the entirety of the pre-merge. This allows interaction between the tribes. However, this does not void the rule of passing idols to people on opposite tribes.

• This is the first season to be played for 42 days.
  • This is the first season since Survivor: Laos to last a number of days other than 39.
• This is the second season to be named after a CBS Survivor season.
• This is the sixth season with returnees, and the third to feature returnees with no newbies.
• This is the first returning player season not to take place in North America or Africa.
• This is the first season since Survivor: Nepal not to have a form of tribe swap occur.
• All returnees from Survivor: Egypt, Survivor: Anarchy, and Survivor: Peru were eliminated in the same order as on their original seasons.
• Andrei is the only person whose best placement came in this season.
