Snakery Is Not Appreciated is the eighth episode of Survivor: Kariba.
Merge[]
At the beginning of the episode, the castaways were informed that they would be merging into one tribe. The castaways named their new merge tribe "Nyuchi" which translates to "Honey Bee" in the Shona language. The new Nyuchi tribe, wearing green buffs, is as follows.

Open Season Twist[]
At the beginning of the episode, the castaways were informed that along with the merge, they would be switching targets. Each person chose a different numbered jar to determine their new target. Each person on the tribe received a different target, and each person was also the target of someone else. If they successfully hunted down their target, meaning they cast a vote against their target when they were voted out, they earned a trip to the Hunter's Lodge. Targets would be reassigned at pre-determined points throughout the game. The third target assignments of the game were as follows.

Challenges[]
Immunity Challenge: Flag Making. Each castaway was tasked with creating a tribe flag for the new merge tribe. Each of their flags would anonymously be posted to the viewing lounge for the season, where the viewers would then vote by liking the post of the flag they want to vote for. The person who received the most likes on their flag won immunity and a clue to the hidden immunity idol.

Hunter's Lodge[]
Dovile successfully hunted down her target of Dan this round, and because of this she earned a trip to the Hunter's Lodge. At the Hunter's Lodge, she selected Jar #9 and received 2 Light Pearls. The 2 Light Pearls automatically cancelled out the first two votes cast against Dovile at a Tribal Council that she was not immune at. The last time the 2 Light Pearls could be used was at the final 7.
