BluJay112, also known as "Nick", is a contestant from Survivor: Tahiti & Survivor: Ngorongoro Crater.

Profile[]

Name: Nick
Current Residence: Sumter, SC
Personal Claim to Fame: Uh, I’ve written a play and had it performed for an audience of over 100 people! We raised like $400+.
Three Words to Describe You: Talkative, Stubborn, and Eccentric!
If you could have three things on an island, what would they be and why? A music player, headphones, and a book. I need alone time occasionally, because I’m an introvert (Capricorn, INFP, type 5, if you’re into socionomics).
Survivor Contestant You Are Most Like: I’ve been compared to Michele before, but that was before this season, so I’m not sure if it still stands (she has way more swagger than me!!). I would say I’m similar to Nick Wilson. He’s socially and strategically sound, but he has a way of rubbing off as stubborn and annoying to his tribe mates. He also has the same name as me so, destiny.
Why do you think you will be Sole Survivor? I have the determination! I won’t give up, and that’s very important in this game.

Profile[]

Name (Age/Pronouns): Nick (22, he/him)
Current Residence: South Carolina
Personal Claim to Fame: First of my family to graduate college ! I was rather proud of that, and anyone else who has been able to navigate adulthood without adults in your life who can reliably give advice on.

I also was able to write a play my senior year of high school, as well as my first year in college, and have had both read and staged. I have written other stuff throughout the years (need to get more proactive with it), but those two memories stand out. Hearing your work is such a different vibe!
Pet Peeves: People who refuse to listen or admit they are wrong. Or people who equate being wrong/having fault/messing up and receiving criticism for it as being a bad person. That shit annoys me!

Anyone who is adverse to nature, animals, plants, with no reason other than whatever bad “vibes” they get. Same with hating children. Nature and children are what we should all be agreeing to protect and nurture to be better for tomorrow!

Music stans or anyone who ride-or-dies for a celebrity is whack too. Stop playing home-court defense for people who do not know you, do not think about you, and do not relate to you. Respect and admire the ones that try to, but keep that distance in mind! Community care will be forever more important. Madonna is the greatest person alive, but you do not see me unconditionally worshipping at her feet (Although I do wish I got to go to the Celebration tour =[).
Favorite Past Moment: I loved going to rocks! It was an adrenaline rush to have it unfold live. I was ready to risk my entire game at that point, my first eligible tribal.
Favorite Real-Life Survivor Player: Growing up, Amanda Kimmel. Gun to head, Amanda Kimmel. Right now? Amanda Kimmel. Always and forever. Random favorite? Ama— kidding, Heather Aldret.

Currently doing a rewatch and first time watch with my partner from season one onward (at season six: Amazon), and developing thoughts thus far on my rewatch: LOVE Kim Johnson (rip), Lindsey Richter and Mad Dog were great pre-jurors, and Jan Gentry was a delight during Thailand. Also, Jenna Lewis’ Borneo elimination episode is truly one of the underrated melodramas/sad comedies of reality television.
Survivor ORG Player You Respect The Most: Admittedly, I am most familiar with my season, so I will say John because he was a solid ally and I respected him willing to trust me to go to rocks for him. If I can extend to this to any series I have experienced, Kyra comes to mind as a host who I have respect and admiration for both as a person and host— and from what I have seen, not a bad player either! As my memories return to me, I can talk about many years of ORG experiences 😁
Survivor ORG Player You Respect The Least: Well, I remember the two cheaters from my season, but that is boring. And, like, i do not want to count anyone who sucks as a person because i do not respect bigots at all, not that i respect them the least. I will say two people come to mind—

my first ORG I played, someone named Moose got on everyone’s nerves because they were seemingly a troll or someone committing to a specific bit. They would not really strategically communicate, they would make unpredicted moves at tribal, where alongside their strategic partner that season, operated as floaters between my alliance and the opposing side. I remember both myself and Blue both agreeing on the whackness of this contestant, but due to our warring alliances and rivalry, never focused on their chaos. They eventually got fifth or sixth, and I ended up playing a perfect game! So yay me.

Another ORG, I think Dagvivor, I had an adversary named Alani. They were combative, unstrategic, and would make things personal and petty. At some point during the merge, I had a public confrontation with them which solidified our rivalry, and it opened the floodgates to essentially public bickering the rest of the season, at tribals, during challenges. Then comes the finale: I, cut at fourth by my ride-or die and someone else for strategic purposes (completely understand!), and Alani at the final three as a goat, although they spoke as though they were a Christian warrior (not joking) who played the most honest and rewarding game. As awards roll out, I am on call with someone I bonded with that series, and we were speculating about the rewards. And I randomly get Hero of the Season! It made us both laugh because i am not sure i would have described my gameplay or behavior as outstandingly heroic that season, but simply opposing Alani made me the hero of the story. That entire season is a fond memory!
Why did you come back? Need to continue writing my story ;)
Why do you think you have what it takes to reach the top of the Food Chain? I have the perseverance and steadfast annoyingness to throw my effort at the wall until I find a place from onto which I can hook.

I also think, because I lack both the Survivor ORG connections as well as recent ORG activity, on me donne carte blanche to present myself and play however I want. Harder part will be overcoming initial trust and avoiding the classic “vote out the unknown factor.”
